This problem can occur if the GIT repository where SAS Enterprise Guide temporarily stores the program history code is deleted or emptied.
You cannot recover the program history, but you can use the following steps to retrieve the process flow.
- Make a backup copy of your project so that the original copy is not overwritten.
- In SAS Enterprise Guide, open the copy that you made of the project. When you see the exception, click OK.
- Select Tools ► Options ► Program History.
- Click the Clear Program History button. When you are prompted to continue, click Yes.
- Deselect the Enable Program History option.
- Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
- Save this project (which should be your backup project).
- Close SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Reopen SAS Enterprise Guide and open the project that you just saved. If you want to re-enable the program history for the project, open Tools ► Options ► Program History, and select the Enable Program History option.
